Profile Description

Vanessa focuses on employment law in our Fargo office. In her employment law practice, Vanessa handles administrative complaints, provides advice for North Dakota and Minnesota employers on employment compliance issues, investigates workplace complaints, and generally represents employers in employment litigation. Vanessa is also an editor of the North Dakota Employment Law Letter, a monthly newsletter providing employment law updates to North Dakota employers.

At Vogel, Vanessa serves as a member of the recruiting committee and is the summer associate coordinator.

Vanessa graduated summa cum laude from Minot State University, majoring in sociology and German, and earned her J.D. from University of North Dakota School of Law, where she was elected to Order of the Coif. While in law school, Vanessa participated in moot court, was Managing Editor of the North Dakota Law Review, and completed externships at the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals and Northeast Central Judicial District.
