Moseley Matheson is a Managing Partner at the NC DWI Law Center with experience on both sides of the North Carolina criminal justice system. His passion for criminal defense started in law school, where he interned with the ACLU’s Capital Punishment Project and the Durham County Public Defender’s Office. The North Carolina Bar Associated awarded him a Certificate of Recognition for his outstanding service with these organizations. He went on to serve as an Assistant District Attorney for Harnett County before returning to criminal defense work. Now, he focuses the greater bulk of his practice on DWI defense in North Carolina.
Moseley is a sought out speaker, writer, and thought leader on criminal law issues. He is the Managing Editor of the North Carolina Criminal Law Deskbook, a resource for criminal defense attorneys, and authored the chapter on DWIs. He has been named among the Top 100 Trial Lawyers by the National Trial Lawyers Organization as well as a Top 10 Best in Client Satisfaction by the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys.
Moseley is a cum laude graduate of North Carolina Central School of Law. He is an active member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the Wake County Bar Association and Tenth Judicial District Bar, and the Wake County Academy of Criminal Trial Lawyers. He is licensed to practice law in all North Carolina state courts as well as the Eastern District of North Carolina’s federal courts and the Supreme Court of the United States.
